We believe every born-again believer has a God-ordained purpose for being planted and rooted at Christian Growth Center. As we live our life together, grow together and serve God together, we find our place in the Body of Christ, serving in a specific ministry with our special gifts. There are many areas in which one may may become involved at CGC.

Music Ministry. The praise and worship team of Christian Growth Center is dynamically anointed to usher in the presence of God, create an atmosphere for worship, and prepare the people’s hearts to receive the Word. 

Prayer Ministry.  A signature, foundational ministry of CGC, our prayer groups pray for families, the New River Valley, our nation, Israel, the last-day outpouring and many more issues as the Holy Spirit leads. We endeavor to fulfill God’s heart in Matthew 21:13, “My house shall be called a house of prayer”.

Ministry of Helps.  This ministry consists of many support teams serving the needs within the church including ushers and hostesses, greeters, altar workers, counselors, audio/technical and more. Volunteers are always welcome and needed as our church continues to grow.

Prison Ministry.  Taking the light of the Gospel to those incarcerated to bring hope of a new life in Christ Jesus.

Outreach Ministry.  Evangelism, missions, local and global outreaches continue to expand as we demonstrate the love of our Lord Jesus being salt and light in the earth.

Men’s Ministry.  With an ardent desire to see men of God become leaders in their homes, work places, and community, Pastor Rob Sowell leads this ministry instilling godly principles specific to men. Here you will find men lifting up and supporting each other to progress in their daily walk with the Lord.

Women’s Ministry.  Mentoring for the Master. Women learning from the wisdom of other women about kindness, loving and caring for family, purity, and virtue through love, acceptance and Bible study. This ministry helps women to see God is looking to use those who are faithful.

Marriage Enrichment.  Learn practical skills to build a healthy marriage and maintain a successful marriage full of life and vigor! The Bible teaches marriage is a covenant by God designed to draw spouses and children closer to Him. This ministry’s purpose is to increase intimacy in good marriages thereby taking proactive steps to prevent marital crisis. We desire to offer help for those distressed marriages giving them practical tools to revive their commitment and dedication to God and each other.

Divorce Care.  Are you hurt, angry, embarrassed, and struggling to go on with your life? If you are like most of us, you are probably a little uncomfortable coming to a Divorce Care session. Nevertheless, Divorce Care will help you understand your emotions and connect you with others who are experiencing the same. You will learn concepts to help you heal from separation and divorce, and assist you in putting your life back together.

Friday Night Fill-Up. Designed to be a gathering for all ages to eat, fellowship and study the Word together in a home atmosphere. Meeting once a month, studies are designed to be practical and applicable to everyday life, encouraging each person to grow in their walk of faith.
